We are going to head back to 2015, which was the start of my first football league creation.
Years ago, on July 4th, 2015, me and my mom was at the Nationwide Children's Hospital. I created a football league logo with a football on the bottom, stars on top. I had to choose a name and the Super USA Heroes Football League was it.
I created 8 teams, then 16 teams like the Columbus Stars, Philadelphia Monsters, Seattle Wardogs and such. But after a while, I decided to ignore the idea because the league name and the idea both sounded so stupid, I've never really cared about it and focused on other things.
Then in 2016, I created another league called American League Football, an alternative idea to the SUHFL. It was a 32-team league which had the Cincinnati Outlaws, Chicago Steel, Columbus Savages and more. This league didn't work either because I could've got caught by the NFL league, so I skipped this idea as well after listening to my parents.
Then the Columbus Knights, who was a team from 2017 to 2022. My dad brought me Madden NFL 07 for the Wii back in 2017 and that's where my football journey began with the Knights after using the Create-A-Team feature. But after trying to buy real uniforms to make the team real, it didn't work because I didn't have any money for the uniforms. And after 5 years of Madden Football, I had to fold the team and the team organization for good.
Then, in 2019, I had to make a new football league, an alternative to all of those failed ideas. I called it the Summer Heroes Football League (I've also thought about the name in my head). I had to give it a try, hoping this league wouldn't fail like the other ones. I created 4 teams in Madden NFL 07 and those new teams are located in different cities that don't have a team. Here are the 4 teams:
-
Alabama Knights
-
Arizona Stingers
-
San Antonio Miners
-
Tampa Bay Top Guns
(All team logos were created in Microsoft Paint)
Just like the Columbus Knights, before they folded, I used Madden NFL 07, but I chose tournament mode. The first season began with a 3-game schedule for each team. As the season progressed and was finished, the playoffs began. Each team made it to the first ever 2019 Inaugural Season Playoffs and it had a losers bracket (It was later taken out for future seasons). After the playoffs were over and after the two teams entered the Championship game, I figured that this league has a bright future ahead. So, I had a thought in my head, saying ''This league will keep growing until it'll be heard of by more people and supported more''. After the championship was over and after San Antonio won the first championship and the trophy, I knew I have a great future with this league
-
Miners finished the season with a 4-1 record.
-
Top Guns finished the season with a 2-3 record.
-
Knights finished the season with a 3-2 record.
-
Stingers finished the season with a 2-3 record.
After the 1st season was over, I continued on Madden NFL 07 for the Wii. That's where 2 new short-lived teams; Charleston Black Knights and the Denver Firebirds joined the league for the 2020 season (AKA Season 2) before it was cancelled.
Now, 2020 was the second year that the SUHFL alternative, the SHFL, had to start season 2. Well... that was advancing before Covid came. The season was cancelled because of the virus. And the 2 teams had been defuncted ever since the 2nd Season cancellation. The league stopped the season because of Covid issues after reaching to Week 4 and stopped there. Those three teams were named the Charleston Black Knights, Denver Gladiators (Who are now the Dallas Pirates) and the Denver Firebirds. The two teams, Charleston and Denver (Firebirds) were sadly never heard of in the league again. But after Season 3 was over, the Pirates, formerly the Denver Gladiators, came back to the league after the SUHFL's 1st season failure and they have joined the league as they relocated to Dallas and are the sixth team now, placed in the North Conference in the North Division for Season 4. Season results or the scores weren't revealed after Season 2 was cancelled.
2021: The SHFL had to be down for a whole year because I was working on my old idea after leaving it behind for 7 whole years, The Super USA Heroes Football League. The league was reviving after having the season set up. Schedules were being made, teams were named and the teams from the 2019 SHFL league had to join for the 2021 season. Even the store was being made.
But after one game, I thought it was boring for me to do both the messenger page and watch the game at the same time when I was watching the two teams play. So, after that one game between the Bandits and the Firebirds, the SUHFL didn't really have the same fuel for me to continue my video game football journey with them just like the SHFL did after 2 seasons (Season 2 was cancelled because of covid issues). And the SUHFL was shut down for good after deleting everything, thinking it was a good idea of reviving the most dumbest idea I created back then since 2015. And after one game, that was pretty much it for the league I have worked on since my beginning on creating my own dream football league. After 2021, it was time for me and the SUHFL to part ways, for good. So, I have put my focus on the SHFL league I have created since 2019, after the 1st season.
There was also another league that I have been working on. It was called the Professional Football Association, a 24-team league. It had 24 teams in total and they were the Minnesota Stallions, Sacramento Champions, St. Louis Hawks, Orland Redbirds, San Diego Thunderhawks and such. They even used a logo which was shaped like a football, it had a player running with the ball in its hand. The league WAS about to begin the first season on March, but just like the other old, failed leagues I have been doing in the past, I didn't have any money for any of the uniforms or to renovate the stadiums. The PFA league folded and never started a season and it was short lived, but the SHFL now has the PFA's league logo, making it the official league logo.
2022: After the shutdown of the SUHFL, the SHFL has changed after the 2020 season cancellation & skipping 2021. The league changed its name to the Pro Summer Football League (PSFL). The game that was used for Season 3 was Madden NFL 08 for the PS2. The season had a 6-game schedule this time. The season was extended to 3 games for the 3rd season, and it was a double header for each team just like when the league first started its inaugural season with only 3 games for each team. When the 3rd season started, the league used an old website maker called Google Sites, but only for 1 year. All teams have the record of 3-3 and they were all in the 2022 Playoffs. San Antonio has won their second title by a game winning TD in Overtime, beating Arizona 30-36.
Then, after Season 3 was done, the move was to go for a website change. The choice was Wix, the trusted website builder and it was the perfect choice. Wix was picked as the league's future website builder.
Now for season 4, the 4 former SUHFL teams came to join the PSFL. Though, before that, the league changed its name again. The name was changed to the Professional Simulation Football League as it is the official name for the future. The 4 old SUHFL teams are the San Diego Bandits (Formerly the San Diego Knights), Columbus Spiders, Milwaukee Bulls and the Dallas Pirates (Who were formerly the Denver Gladiators). Legend Bowl was going to be used for Season 4 until a slow computer made things complicated for the league. The move was to go to Madden NFL 07 for the PS2. And the games were moved to Monday, and all of the teams had a 7-game schedule. Milwaukee has appeared in their first playoff game and played Tampa Bay after going 4-3, but lost to Tampa Bay 49-52, which puts Tampa Bay in the Season 4 Championship against San Antonio, which they've beaten Alabama 21-31. Tampa Bay put up a good fight in the Championship game, but San Antonio's offense was too much, resulting with a score of 31-37, giving the Miners their third title.
After the 4th Season was finished, the league has expanded to 8 more teams to make it a 16-team league. As the new 8 teams have joined the league for the 5th season, choosing Axis Football 2023, the league has expanded all of the teams' schedules to 12 games. Chicago has achieved their first record of 12-0, perfecting their first season since leaving Basketball. Yup, they were a basketball team, formerly located in Kansas City, MO. They have lost one game against Oklahoma 24-30, ending their Cinderella story of a season. The league was thinking of a championship name, and they have found it, though they had some suggestions. It was officially called Defiant Cup, which will be used for the future of the PSFL and for future championships. Then, San Diego and Oklahoma have played the first Defiant Cup championship in Orlando, Florida. San Diego has played a good Oklahoma team, but they have overcome them, beating them and winning their first Defiant Cup title with a score of 17-27, giving the San Diego Bandits their first title after winning Defiant Cup IV.
And that brings us to today. The league is now officially a 16-team league.''
There may be ups and downs from this league, but there is promise ahead and a future ahead.
